The Festival

The Krewe of Erin Festival brings Irish spirit to downtown Ponchatoula with a festive parade, live music, delicious food, arts and crafts, and family-friendly entertainment. Wear your green and celebrate a day of fun, community, and Louisiana hospitality in one of the region's most charming downtowns.

The Parade

We invite families to join with a family membership and local groups to apply for participation in our parade to support our mission of promoting the historical importance and legacy of St. Patrick, who introduced Christianity to Ireland.

We Aim To:

  • Educate the public of the historical achievements and artistic expressions of the Celtic nations.

  • Enrich the Ponchatoula area community, via community service events and drives throughout the year.

  • Enhance tourism, by building of a meditative labyrinth, in traditional Celtic design, in Ponchatoula, for all of the community to use.

  • Promote the Celtic heritage of Louisiana via attendance by Court members at events throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.

The Krewe of Erin celebrates Celtic culture for people of all ages and cultural backgrounds on the Northshore. The Krewe participates in celebrating Celtic heritage, community service projects, community involvement & economic expansion. We achieve these purposes with our KOE Celtic Heritage Festival & Pageant, Wild Game Cookoff, St. Patrick’s Parade & Tea, & Emerald Ball. Through our events we pass out over 5,000 lbs of vegetables, fundraise for local military orgs., promote academics and school orgs.
