Do You Hear That Sound? Yup- it's PARADE Time!
Our annual St Patrick's Day is held the FIRST Saturday of March,
held the morning of Antique Trade Days, in downtown Ponchatoula.
MARCH 5, 2022, 1030 am
What makes OUR parade unique, is that we have kept it to a walking parade! No floats here!
Our Krewe members participate in a 'Cart Raid' the night before the parade, absconding with shopping carts, that get filled with cabbage and all sorts of veggies, likes potatoes, carrots and onions, as well as green themed parade throws.
Our parade is led off by the Kilt of Many Colors pipers
and the Ponchatoula High School ROTC Color Guard.
Each year we pick a new Grand Marshal to lead off our parade!
This year's Grand Marshal is actually a group of people very dear to us!
Our lovely Queen and her annaul Royal Court, make their debut with their family carts.

Then we have more music from the Ponchatoula High School band and the rest of our member carts, and wagons from their visiting guests, round out the parade. We are excited this year to have the PHS Cheerleaders in our parade as well! GO GREEN WAVE!!!
Some years we have a special guest at the end of our parade as well!
This year our 38th Queen will hand out first place ribbons to the best decorated Court cart, best decorated member cart, best decorated Queen's cart and best decorated visiting wagon!

We are a FAMILY parade, both from within, with multi-generations of families participating,
and to multiple generations attending!
If you can't make a stew or soup with all the veggies, then you weren't trying to catch any! LOL
We hope to see you there!
And don't forget, you can check by our table at Trade Days (just find us by the old jail), Saturday afternoon and Sunday, where we will have Irish jewelry, bows and more for sale, as well as tickets for a HUGE Louisiana Tail Gate themed basket!
AND PHS Football will have their annual Gumbo cook off going on too, so come on and spend the WHOLE day in downtown Ponchatoula!
